DIP Real Estate is the trade name of DIP COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE SRL, a Romanian legal entity, with its registered office in Bucharest, 62-64 Luptatorilor Boulevard, 3rd Floor, Ap.13, 1st District , registered with the Bucharest Trade Registry under no. J2025019563007, Sole Registration Code 51474971 (hereinafter referred to as “DIP Real Estate”, the “Controller” or “we“). DIP Real Estate is the personal data controller and the entity that owns and manages the website https://www.dip-realestate.ro/ (the “Website”). 


DIP Real Estate places great importance on protecting your personal data, and we want you to feel safe when visiting our website and when interacting with us through any of the communication channels we make available. To this end, we ensure that the personal data of Website users or visitors is processed in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the “GDPR”), as well as the legislation regarding privacy in electronic communications.

We carry out the personal data processing activities described below in our capacity as data controller.

We also inform you about your rights as a data subject and guide you on how to exercise them.

2.    Personal Data Processed, Purposes, and Legal Basis

a.    Requests for service offers
When you request an offer regarding our real estate consulting and brokerage services, either for personal use or as a representative of a legal entity, we will process personal data such as your name, surname, position, telephone number, email address, as well as information related to property inquiries or service requests.


In terms of legal basis, your personal data is processed in order to (i) carry out pre-contractual steps at your request in view of entering into a contract, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, and (ii) pursue our legitimate interest in efficiently handling and responding to your requests and in providing you with information about our services, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.


Additionally, when you act as a representative or employee of a legal entity, the legal ground for processing your data is our legitimate interest to facilitate the conclusion of a contract with the company you represent, in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.


b.    Other requests or inquiries 
When you contact us in any context and communicate directly with us — whether through requests or messages submitted via the contact form on the Website or through any other communication channels we make available — we will process your name, surname, email address, telephone number, the content of your request/communication, as well as any other personal data necessary to handle your inquiry, including data contained in any documents you choose to provide in this context.


The processing of this data is carried out based on our legitimate interest in maintaining open communication channels with clients, potential clients, or their representatives, as well as our legitimate interest in defending our rights and interests and demonstrating compliance with our legal obligations regarding the management of requests submitted by data subjects, in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.


c.    Testimonials
If you choose to provide us with a testimonial regarding your experience with our real estate consulting and brokerage services we will process personal data such as your name, surname, the content of your testimonial, and any other information you voluntarily include in your statement.


The processing of your personal data for the purpose of publishing and promoting testimonials is carried out only with your prior consent, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Your consent is entirely voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

 

If your testimonial is collected in the context of a contractual relationship, we may also process it based on our legitimate interest in promoting our services and maintaining transparency regarding client satisfaction, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. In such cases, we ensure that the use of your testimonial does not override your rights and that any promotional use is proportionate and respectful of your expectations.


Your testimonial may be published on our website or on other communication channels managed by DIP Real Estate (such as social media accounts or marketing materials), strictly in accordance with the consent you have provided or the legitimate interests outlined above.


d.    Data processed through cookies
When you visit the Website, we process the personal data collected through cookies in order to ensure the security of the Website or to monitor traffic and improve its informational content.


Depending on your cookie preferences set through the Website cookie banner, we may also analyze your interaction with the Website for statistical purposes, demographic segmentation or for delivering personalized advertising. e.    Other purposes
In addition to the situations described above, we may process your personal data for the following purposes:
(i)    to develop internal statistics and databases to enhance and improve our products and services, increasing operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and centralizing activities related to the provision of our services. This processing is carried out based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the continuity and improvement of our business, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.


(ii)    based on our legitimate interest in establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims or resolving disputes of any kind (pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).


(iii)    based on our legitimate interest in conducting audits, obtaining certifications, and performing any necessary checks relating to the company (pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).


(iv)    for the development, security, and maintenance of our IT systems (pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

 

3.    Data recipients 


For the purpose of delivering the Website and the services available on the Website at the highest standards, complying with legal obligations, or pursuing legitimate interests as outlined in this document, the Controller may disclose personal data to the following categories of recipients: 


(i)    service providers (including data processors), such as the IT and technical support providers; hosting services providers; consultants and marketing service providers; providers of personal data protection services or other legal consultancy services; 


(ii)    public authorities, financial auditors, or inspection bodies with jurisdiction over the Controller's activities, including the Data Protection Authority and the National Agency for Fiscal Administration;


(iii)    courts, lawyers, notaries, or other entities for legal compliance or protection of rights and assets; 


(iv)    third-party buyers in the event of a transfer of the Controller's business or activities, whether in whole or in part, where personal data form part of the transferred assets.


Personal data disclosed is limited to the minimum necessary for specific purposes, with contractual obligations imposed on recipients to use the data only for its intended purpose. The Controller takes all reasonable steps to ensure that recipients comply with data security and confidentiality obligations.

4.    Data retention 


The personal data described in the sections above will be processed only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or for any subsequent compatible purposes.


If you request a service offer or interact with us in any way, and this interaction does not lead to the conclusion of a contract, we will retain your data for up to 3 years from the date of the last interaction. This retention period allows us to maintain evidence for the purpose of defending our rights.


For data processing activities based on your consent, the data will be retained until your consent is withdrawn.


5.    International data transfers 


We currently store and process personal data in the European Union.


In this regard, we will always take the necessary measures to ensure that any international transfer of personal data is carefully managed so that your rights and interests are always protected.

8.    Your rights


As a Data Subject, you have the following rights:


a.    Right of access: You may request information about the personal data we process about you, as well as a copy of such personal data.


b.    Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time, but only where the processing is based on your consent.


c.    Right to rectification: You may request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data that we process about you.


d.    Right to restrict processing: You may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under the conditions set out in Article 18 of the GDPR.


e.    Right to erasure: You have the right to request the deletion of the personal data we process about you. We are required to comply with your request if:

Upon receiving your request, we will respond within one month. This period may be extended, where necessary and justified by the complexity of the request, by an additional period of up to two months.


Please note that, if there are uncertainties regarding your identity as a data subject, we may ask you for additional information to confirm your identity and to locate your data in our records. If you do not provide the necessary information, we might not be able to act on your request.


h.    Right to lodge a complaint:
If you have concerns about how we process your personal data, we would prefer that you contact us first so that we can try to resolve the issue. However, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing, following the procedures available on its website: www.dataprotection.ro. You also have the right to bring a claim before a competent court.
